The Challenge
In 2021, Oakley and Costa needed to introduce that year’s product and promotional offer to independent practices without a sales rep in the room. They also needed a way to capture interest from practices that did not yet carry either brand.
The Brand Journey Pages
We built a set of Oakley and Costa branded pages on the Vision Source site. A landing page introduced both brands and split visitors into two paths: existing accounts, and practices interested in adding a new brand.
Each path led to a video featuring the Oakley and Costa leadership team, covering both brands, an administrator testimonial, and the 2021 product introduction. Below the player, a visual timeline of still frames from the video marked where each topic was covered, so visitors could see the shape of it at a glance.
Existing accounts continued to a page previewing the prepackaged assortments available to independent opticians, along with the event terms: a discount on ordered prepacks, split billing, and free freight. Practices requesting a new brand followed a separate path toward an onboarding consultation with a local sales representative and a free RX job once that consultation was complete.
Both paths ended in a Gravity Forms inquiry form capturing practice, contact, and account details. On submission the visitor saw a confirmation, an email went to Luxottica, and the record was written to a Google Sheets spreadsheet the sales team already had access to.
Ongoing Brand Guide Maintenance
We also maintain the Oakley and Costa pages on the Vision Source Brand Guide, updating collections, catalogs, assortments, and promotions on quick turnaround as new material is published.
Sales Video
We edited a run of internal sales videos for both brands: Oakley 40 Years, honoring sales people with four decades or more at the brand; a testimonial film assembled from Oakley sales people across the country for the Oakley Sales Event Fall 2021; and Costa Fast Start 2025, in which Costa reps talk about how they found their way to the brand. All three were built from footage submitted by reps around the country.
The Result
A campaign that ran a full sales motion through a set of web pages, from brand introduction to captured lead, with existing and prospective accounts handled separately. The brands, the offer, and the people on camera were Luxottica’s. We built the pages and cut the video.
